Hi Bruce,

   Thanks for reporting this problem.  I have checked in the uploaded patch,
based on your suggestion, and added an entry to the changelog file as shown below.

   Please note however, for future reference, that the libiberty files are not
part of the binutils project.  They are their own separate project with their
own maintainers.  (I contacted the libiberty maintainer for permission to apply
the patch).
