INIT: /etc/inittab[2]: missing action field

thanks so much for ur reply ...
I used
cat -A /etc/inittab

and i found that there are illegal characters on the end of the lines like
^M
but how can i edit it usinf vim ???

i tried the "l" option as u said , but i didn't work !!
