The Opera package I get is here:

ftp://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/linux/754u2/final/en/i386/static/opera-7.54-20050131.1-static-qt.i386-en.tar.bz2

That's a static built opea, in tar.bz2 form.  Simply extract the 
tarball, run its install.sh, and install it to /opt/opera :)
