I think I've found the problem. :)
But not the solution :(

... and links displays the page just fine.

I agree this piece of html code is not a pretty sight ;)
but it looks like the parser is not ignoring code inside 
the <script> tag like it should. 

This is with the latest elinks cvs snapshot as is 
(that's no contrib/ javascript hacks ;).
