Well, perhaps so.  Trouble is, I'm holding off on updating my ACL 
hint until I work certain other things out.  In particular, 
ReiserFS now supports ACLs in 2.4 with the appropriate SuSE 
patches, XFS is now integrated into 2.4 (but still needs certain 
patches for ACL support), and I'm trying to work out ACL support 
for JFS (which is somewhat bitrotted).  Once I've got all that 
patchwork ported, I'll probably post one big unified patch to 
turn on ACLs for all popular filesystems in 2.4.25.

BTW, does anyone here actually _use_ JFS?  I haven't seen much 
interest in it, but then again, I haven't been looking.  I may 
just ignore JFS if I can't get its ACL support working.
